It is on Level 2 of KADA, 5 Kadayanallur Street, Singapore 069183, a two-minute walk from Maxwell MRT between Tanjong Pagar and Chinatown. Horizon serves adults at any level of fitness, from beginners to race athletes, who want training, nutrition and recovery coordinated in one place. Questions and answers

What is Horizon Wellness Club?

Horizon Wellness Club is a studio in Singapore's Central Business District that combines personal training, physiotherapy, sports massage and nutrition coaching in one building. Thirteen practitioners work there: physiotherapists, coaches and a sports massage therapist. The physiotherapist who treats a client and the coach who trains them work from the same plan. Rehabilitation continues into strength work without a handover to another provider. Personal training sessions are one to one. The studio is on Level 2 of KADA, 5 Kadayanallur Street, two minutes from Maxwell MRT.

What services does Horizon Wellness Club offer, and what do they cost?

Horizon offers personal training, physiotherapy, sports massage, nutrition coaching, coaching packages, gym day passes and gym floor rental, all priced in Singapore dollars. Personal training is S$180 a session, or S$1,860 for 12 sessions, S$3,600 for 24 and S$5,220 for 36. Physiotherapy is S$250 for a 60-minute first appointment that covers assessment and treatment, and S$200 for a follow-up, with no prepaid packages. Most corporate insurance plans in Singapore cover physiotherapy, so check what your own policy allows. Sports massage is S$75 for 30 minutes, S$150 for 60 and S$225 for 90. Nutrition coaching is S$250 a month. Coaching packages pair personal training with nutrition coaching, and on the two larger tiers doctor consultations: Start S$2,400, Transform S$4,650 and Complete S$6,840. A day pass is S$30 for one day, S$60 for three consecutive days and S$90 for seven. Gym floor rental for trainers is S$35 an hour, falling to S$24 an hour on a 100-hour block.

What makes Horizon Wellness Club different from a gym or a physiotherapy clinic?

Treating pain and rebuilding strength are usually done by different people in different places, and nobody owns the handover. At Horizon the physiotherapist and the coach work in the same space from the same plan. A client moves from treatment to loading without changing provider or repeating their history. Most rehabilitation ends when the pain does, which is usually before capacity has returned, and that gap is where injuries recur. Horizon runs that rebuild stage on its own gym floor. Two other things set it apart from a commercial gym. Personal training sessions are one to one rather than in a crowded room, and every service page states who the service is not for. Personal training is not sold to someone with unassessed pain, and race preparation is not sold to someone whose event is days away.

How do I start, and do I need a referral or a membership?

Most people start with a free 30-minute assessment, requested through the form on the homepage; the team then follows up to arrange a time. It is for first-time visitors, by appointment and subject to availability. It includes measurement: body composition, a step test, balance and grip strength. You leave with a recommendation whether or not you go on to train at Horizon. No referral is needed for physiotherapy. Anyone can book directly through the online clinic booking page, which also handles sports massage. Personal training and nutrition coaching are arranged over WhatsApp. There is no membership: a day pass is bought online before you come, and trainers book floor time after an enquiry and a visit.

Can I claim physiotherapy at Horizon on insurance?

Usually, yes, under most corporate and employer insurance plans in Singapore. Horizon is not on any insurer's panel, so you pay at the time and submit the invoice for reimbursement. Horizon gives you an itemised invoice with everything an insurer normally asks for. Whether you can claim, how much, and whether a referral is needed depends on your policy, so check with your provider before your first visit. Personal training is sometimes subsidised by employers under flexi-benefit or employee-wellness schemes, so it is worth checking what your company offers.

Who is Horizon Wellness Club for?

Horizon works with anyone who wants a personalised training plan with nutrition and recovery handled by the same team. That includes people starting from scratch, people who have plateaued, and people training around an injury. Its programmes cover sustainable weight management, staying strong past 40, returning to training after injury or surgery, and HYROX or marathon preparation. Beginners are welcome, and no base level of fitness is needed to start personal training. The studio is two minutes from Maxwell MRT, which suits people who work in the CBD, but anyone in Singapore can train there. Independent trainers rent the floor for their own clients, and visitors in town for a few days buy day passes. Someone in pain that has not been assessed starts with physiotherapy, not training. Horizon is not the right place for a set meal plan, a guaranteed result by a fixed date, or an hour of relaxation massage.

Where is Horizon Wellness Club, and when is it open?

Horizon Wellness Club is at 5 Kadayanallur Street, KADA, Level 2, Unit 06/07/09, Singapore 069183. That is behind Maxwell Food Centre, on the Tanjong Pagar and Chinatown edge of the CBD. Maxwell MRT (TE18) Exit 2 is under two minutes' walk, and Tanjong Pagar and Telok Ayer stations are close by. Opening hours are Monday to Friday 7am to 9pm, and Saturday and Sunday 9am to 1pm. Showers, lockers and towels are available, so clients train before work or at lunch and still make their next meeting. Phone and WhatsApp: +65 8825 2382. Email: hello@horizon-wellness.club.

Can independent personal trainers rent the gym floor at Horizon?

Yes. Independent trainers bring their own clients and buy floor time in blocks. One hour is S$35, 10 hours S$325, 20 hours S$600, 50 hours S$1,375 and 100 hours S$2,400. A trainer can work with up to four clients in an hour, with pricing adjusted for that. Rentable hours are the club's opening hours, additional hours are available on request, and custom partner packages are quoted on enquiry. The client relationship, the programming and the business stay the trainer's. If a client gets hurt, there is a physiotherapist in the building rather than a referral across town. It is not exclusive use of the floor, not a route to new clients, and not the cheapest floor in Singapore. It is a CBD address with a clinical team in the same building, priced accordingly.

Who this is for

Anyone who wants one plan for training, food and recovery. Most people come to Horizon for a personalised fitness programme they can keep up, rather than a workout plan on its own. Personal training, nutrition coaching, physiotherapy and sports massage sit in one building under one team. The plan adjusts when a niggle, a busy month or a plateau gets in the way. No prior experience is needed. People starting from scratch spend the first few weeks learning a handful of movements properly. People who have plateaued get a programme that is written down and changed on purpose.

People who want sustainable weight management. Strength training plus one habit change at a time, with nutrition coaching based on photos of what you actually eat rather than a meal plan. The aim is fat loss without losing the muscle underneath it, measured by body composition rather than the scale alone. Horizon does not publish a rate of loss, because a rate quoted in advance is a promise nobody can honestly make. See Weight Loss.

Adults over 40 who want to stay strong and independent, and the family members booking for them. Strength, balance and mobility coaching for people who have noticed stairs, luggage or getting off the floor getting harder. Arthritic knees, a replaced hip or an old back shape the programme rather than rule it out. An adult child can book the first session on a parent's behalf and come with them. See Staying Strong As You Age.

People coming back from injury, surgery or a long break. Physiotherapy for the episode, then the rebuild stage on the gym floor with a coach who is already briefed. That covers ACL and knee rehabilitation through to return to sport, and back or shoulder pain that keeps recurring. It also covers people discharged elsewhere who are pain-free but not confident loading again. The Returning to Training After Injury programme is built for that last group.

Being in the CBD is a convenience, not a requirement. The studio is two minutes from Maxwell MRT with showers, lockers and towels, so sessions fit before work, at lunch or after work. The office mobility programme is for people who sit down at nine and stand up at seven. A day pass covers anyone in town for a few days.
