Who this is for

  • People starting from scratch

You've never trained, or not for years, and you'd rather not work it out alone in a busy gym. You don't need a base level of fitness to begin. The first few weeks are about learning a handful of movements properly — not about how much you can lift.

  • People who have plateaued

You train regularly but you're not progressing, or you've repeated the same session for months. Usually the programme isn't wrong. It just never changed. We write down what you're doing and why, so progression is a decision rather than an accident.

  • People with injuries

An injury, or a knee, a back, a shoulder that flares up. This is the reason physiotherapy sits in the same building — when something needs assessing, that's a conversation down the corridor rather than a referral to another business.

What makes us different

Most training stops the moment something hurts. And most people never restart, because restarting means finding a clinic, explaining the history again, then finding their way back to a gym.

Here, the coach who trains you and the physiotherapist who'd assess you work in the same space, from the same notes.

We also work with leading doctors across specialties, with tight communication, so you're never left re-explaining yourself.

The practical effect: a niggle costs you a session or two of adjusted work rather than three months of stopping.

What actually happens

  1. Your first assessment is 30 minutes and free.

We find out what your end goal is and what it'll take to get there, along with what you've done before and anything that currently hurts. You'll move a little so we can see how you move. You leave with a recommendation, whether or not you train with us.

  2. Sessions run an hour.

A warm-up shaped around your restrictions, the main strength work, then whatever needs attention that day. Your programme is written down, so you know what's coming and why.

  3. Then it progresses.

Load, range or complexity moves as you do. We measure and reassess so progress toward your goal is never guesswork; whether you're on track or not, you'll always know why.

Who you'll train with

You'll be matched with a coach whose background fits what you're after — strength and technique, return to sport, race preparation, or getting started safely. There are 13 practitioners here across physiotherapy, coaching and sports massage, so the match is a real one rather than whoever happens to be free. If something needs a physiotherapist, one's in the building.

How often to train

Twice a week is what it takes to hit most health goals, so that's what we recommend.

If your schedule genuinely can't support that, we build around what you can manage, including home programmes, so you still reach the goal.

64.3%And twice a week isn't an ambitious target. It's the baseline most people never reach: 64.3% of adults in Singapore don't meet the twice-weekly strength-training guideline (National Population Health Survey, 2024) — usually because nobody showed them where to start.

When you'll notice a difference

Most people notice things feeling easier within four to six weeks, and see measurable strength change by twelve. Body composition moves more slowly than strength — expect around three months before it's obvious in the mirror.

These are typical ranges, not promises. Your starting point, your history and how consistent you can be will all change them.

When personal training is the wrong starting point

If you're in pain that hasn't been assessed, start with physiotherapy instead. We'll move you across when you're ready.

And this is not a quick fix. If you want a result in four weeks without changing anything else, we are not the right fit — and we would rather say so now than take the booking.

FAQs

  • Yes. We support older adults and seniors with coached strength, mobility and independence work. Sessions are paced around your current ability and comfort level, with clear guidance from the team.

  • Yes. We support weight management through strength training, sustainable routines and recovery support. The focus is steady progress and habits that can fit your real schedule.

  • In this setup, physiotherapy focuses on rehab, pain and movement limitations, while personal training focuses on strength and performance goals. At Horizon Wellness Club, both can be coordinated under one plan.

  • 5 Kadayanallur Street, KADA, Level 2, Unit 06/07/09, Singapore 069183 — a short walk from Maxwell MRT. We're open Mon–Fri 7am–9pm and Sat and Sun 9am–1pm, so sessions fit before work, at lunch or after.

  • Training clothes, shoes you can lift in, and water. That's it.

  • Physiotherapy is claimable on many insurance policies. Personal training is sometimes subsidised by employers under flexi-benefit or employee-wellness schemes, so it's worth checking what your company offers.

  • Cancel or move a session at least 24 hours ahead and there is no charge. Inside 24 hours the session is charged, unless something genuinely unavoidable happened — talk to us.

  • Yes — 12-session packs are valid for 3 months, 24-session packs for 6 months and 36-session packs for 9 months. A programme runs for the same window, so the nutrition coaching and the sessions finish together.

  • Yes, all three — you can train before work or at lunch and still make your next meeting.
