Who comes to physiotherapy here

  • Pain that keeps coming back

You've had it treated before. It settled, you got on with things, and some months later it returned. Recurrence usually means the pain was resolved but the capacity underneath it never was.

  • After surgery or a diagnosis

You've been cleared to rehabilitate and want a plan with a clear progression rather than a sheet of exercises and a vague instruction to build up slowly.

  • Stuck between the clinic and the gym

You're out of pain but not confident loading it again. This is the most common reason people come to us, and the one most services aren't set up to solve.

What makes us different

Most rehabilitation ends when the pain does. That's usually well before you're back to full capacity, and the gap between the two is where problems return. It exists because treating pain and rebuilding strength are normally done by different people in different places, and nobody owns the handover.

At Horizon, the physiotherapist who treats you and the coach who loads you work in the same space, from the same plan.

We work for what you need, for the long term, not just for now.

Physiotherapy, personal training or sports massage?

The question most people arrive with. The short version:

Physiotherapy

Assessment and treatment of pain, injury and restricted movement. Start here if something hurts.

Personal training

Building strength and capacity. Start here if nothing hurts and you want to get stronger.

Sports massage

Releasing tightness and supporting recovery. Useful alongside either, and not a substitute for either.

If you're not sure, book the free 30-minute assessment and we'll tell you which one you need, including if the answer is none of them.

What physiotherapy is

Physiotherapy is the assessment and treatment of pain, injury and movement problems, using hands-on techniques, prescribed exercise and progressive loading. In Singapore, physiotherapists are registered with the Allied Health Professions Council. You do not need a doctor's referral to see one privately.

How a physiotherapy appointment unfolds

  1. The first appointment is an assessment.

We ask what happened, what you've already tried, and what makes it better or worse. Then we watch you move — not a formal test, just enough to see where the restriction actually sits, which is often not where the pain is.

  2. You get treatment in the same session.

Where hands-on work is appropriate, we do it there and then rather than booking you back. You leave with two or three specific things to do before the next appointment, and a clear idea of roughly how many sessions this is likely to take.

  3. Then it progresses.

Early sessions focus on settling symptoms. Later ones shift towards loading — rebuilding the strength and tolerance that stop the problem returning. That shift is the point at which most rehabilitation stops and ours doesn't.

What our clients say

Conditions we treat

Each has its own page with more detail, and if what you have isn't listed, ask — it doesn't mean we can't help.

Pricing

First appointmentCovers the full assessment as well as treatmentSGD 250
Standard follow-upSGD 200

Some conditions need a longer follow-up session. We'll tell you if yours is likely to, and what that costs, at the first appointment rather than partway through. You pay per session, and we'll give you a realistic idea of how many sessions you're likely to need once we've assessed you.

When to see a doctor first

Physiotherapy is not an emergency service. If you have had a significant injury, cannot bear weight, or have numbness, severe swelling or symptoms that came on suddenly, see a doctor first. If you're experiencing any of these symptoms, let us know and we can recommend the best medical professional for you. We work closely with some of the best specialists in Singapore.

FAQs

  • Yes. Physiotherapy, strength work and recovery support can be coordinated so you can move from pain or rehab back toward everyday movement and training with a clearer plan. And if you need to see a doctor along the way, we'll point you to the right one.

  • We have physiotherapists in-house and work with trusted orthopaedic and medical specialists. If you need to see a doctor, we'll connect you with the right one.

  • Yes. Training and physiotherapy are coordinated so your plan can progress safely while resolving underlying issues.

  • It depends on what's wrong, and we'll give you a realistic range at the first appointment rather than a number now. As a rough guide: a recent, uncomplicated problem often settles within four to six sessions. Long-standing pain usually takes longer, because the capacity underneath it takes time to rebuild. ACL rehabilitation runs twelve months or more from surgery. These are typical ranges, not predictions about you. Somebody with the same diagnosis can need half as many sessions, or twice as many, and we'd rather revise the estimate out loud than quietly keep booking you back.

  • No. You can book directly, and nobody has to send you.

  • Clothing you can move in, and any scans or reports you already have. Neither is essential, and not having them isn't a reason to put off booking — the assessment starts with what you can tell us and what we can see.

  • Often, yes — but we are not on any insurer's panel. You pay at the time and submit the invoice for reimbursement. We will give you an itemised invoice with everything an insurer normally asks for. Whether you can claim, and how much, depends on your policy, so it is worth checking before your first visit.

  • 60 minutes — it covers the full assessment as well as treatment. And you're welcome to stay on after your appointment to finish your exercises on the floor.

  • No. Physiotherapy is charged per session — there are no prepaid treatment packages. You pay for the appointment you have, and we'll tell you honestly when you no longer need us.

  • Cancel or move a session at least 24 hours ahead and there is no charge. Inside 24 hours the session is charged, unless something genuinely unavoidable happened — talk to us.
